DigiPack Anlysis

Katy Perry's digipack is a obvious signification of her style for this particular album featuring her 'California girls' in which she is covered in cakes and pasteries similar to this digipak. It presents what is expected of this album and her individual identity the line of appeal is made apperent to be very girly! Katy Perry is known for her vibrant style and persona, therefore her album being a clear reflector of that. The use of color is extremely bright and girly shining her personality through the shots used for the digipak. The individual shots are the same but use different angles, where one is a close medium shot more focused on her face as a form of recognition to her audiences where as the other is more promoting the actual album itself rather then her.

This is one of Rihanna's quite early albums where her 'good girl' image was still what people precieved her as, she looks very innoccent and young in the shots for the digipack. The central theme are golds and warm browns this gives the very exoctic and her 'Barbados' sense of warm glowing sun that reminds you of summer. This was Rihanna's line of appeal where she came from this far way island and has impacted the states so extrmely. There is still a sense of simplicity and fine elegance in the shots and style of the digipak expressing her modesty and lack of overt luxurity in her style. Sexuality and lust is throughly displayed with her hair coverying her eyes expressing mystery that draws you in. Her clothes feature a lot of cleavage and skin is on display to portray her inner devil although she was still keeping her virginity untacted.
